2007 CityFit Great Race Awards Ceremony

Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and CityFit offered City employees a Team Challenge for the 10K portion of The Richard S. Caliguiri Great Race. This year’s Great Race was held on Sunday, September 30, 2007.

Each City Department/Bureau/Authority received one complimentary Great Race entry for a team comprised of 3 to 5 members. Twelve (12) City of Pittsburgh teams were fielded - for the third largest group participation in the Government Category in the Great Race.

An awards ceremony was held on Monday, December 3, 2007 in City Council chambers. The Law Department had the fastest team and received the inaugural Mayor’s Great Race Challenge winner’s plaque. Mayor Ravenstahl presented all runners with medallions.

We are looking forward to another successful Great Race next year and hope to receive even more team entries from City employees.
