How to Obtain a New Street Name:
- Step 1: Applicant submits a New Street Name Request to the Department of Public Works (DPW) Permit Counter located at
611 Second Avenue.
- Step 2: DPW reviews the request.
- Step 3: When the review and verification process is complete, legislation is drawn up and sent to City Council for approval.
- Step 4: Final approval is obtained from the Mayor’s Office.
Note: The entire review time takes an average of three months.
