The
garage's entrance is across the street from the American Red
Cross Building and Point Park College. This garage also
houses the Pittsburgh Parking Authority's Administrative Offices.
For more information call – (412) 560-2510.
You
can also purchase the Park Card at this location. The Park
Card is used in electronic parking meters just like a debit
card. No more fumbling for quarters. For more information
on the Park Card, where to purchase, and location usage click
here.
Part of the garage complex contains a parklet that was designed
by Pittsburgh Artist Jerry Caplan. It is a delightful
oasis of clay-sculptured people with walls of cascading waters,
trees and flower beds.
The garage is located within walking distance of Market Square
Place, where you will find a variety of restaurants, outdoor
cafés, street vendors, afternoon entertainment, and evening
events. It is two short blocks from the internationally known
PPG Place, designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee of
New York. With its expansive venetian plaza and spiraling
roof peeks, "The Glass Castle" is a must-see for
anyone visiting the City. In the winter PPG Place Plaza is
converted into an ice skating rink similar to, but larger
than, Rockefeller Center in New York. In the spring the plaza
is alive with dancing waters and sprays that one can pass
through. These ammenities are a true delight for the whole
family.
This garage is also within walking distance of the Cultural
District and the North Shore, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates
at PNC Park and the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.
Finally, being located on the Southern edge of the city,
it is easily accessible to and from the Fort Pitt and Fort
Duquesne Bridges and the east, west, south and north parkways.
