Citiparks Roving Art Cart
Enjoy creativity in nature's studio, the great outdoors! Paint, sculpt, bead and catch surprises as the
sun warms and the wind rustles. Some days the clouds may crowd and raindrops may plunk around, but rain or shine–except when storms threaten–the Roving Art Cart appears at the scheduled time. The Roving Art Cart visits a neighborhood park and/or playground near you.
The Roving Art Cart's 39th anniversary season brings with it exciting new art projects and visiting local artists.
Bicycle Spin Art uses human power for spontaneous creative expression on recycled materials. Create ArtBots with CMU's CREATE Lab, paper mache with regional puppeteers, and star in your own comic with the help of ToonSeum.
Roving Art Cart activities are best suited for children ages 5 to 12. Though all children should be supervised, children younger than 5 must have caretaker engagement in the activities.
Weather impacts the type of projects chosen for the day.
