Citiparks and the Pittsburgh International Children's Theater co-present the Pittsburgh International Children's Festival—five days of extraordinary professional performing arts for children.

This extremely popular event is one of only four international theater festivals for kids in the United States. In 2009 the festival featured performance groups from the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, the Republic of the Congo, Spain and the United States.

The festival grounds in Oakland—Schenley Plaza and the University of Pittsburgh's Cathedral of Learning's lawn—feature free hands-on educational and cultural activities, an outdoor stage, roving artists and much more.
