Rules
- Parks are open to the public every day of the year from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
- Vehicles in the parks are restricted to roads. The speed limit is 25 mph, unless otherwise posted.
- Ride bicycles on roads only.
- Swimming, bathing and wading may take place only in places provided for these activities.
- Dogs and other pets must be on a leash and under the control of the owner. No pets are allowed on playgrounds or courts at any time.
- Place trash in trash receptacles only. If trash receptacles are not provided, take your refuse with you. Never dump or deposit trash on any park lands or in park waters.
- Cooperate in keeping the rest rooms and washrooms in a neat and sanitary condition.
- Do not set fires except in designated cooking areas. Picnickers must completely extinguish all fires before leaving the park. Never throw lighted matches, burning cigarettes or other flammable material in any park area.
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the parks, except by special permission of the Director.
- Never damage, pollute, disfigure or remove any natural resource, structures or equipment in the parks. Do not hunt, kill, molest, frighten or tease any animals, reptiles or birds in the park.
- Bottles, containers or other items made of glass are prohibited from the park.
- Motorized model airplanes are not allowed in the parks.
- No solicitation, vending, advertising or sign posting is allowed in the parks, except by special permission of the Director.

Landing, Isabelle & Sixth Sts. North Shore:
Enjoy a run along the river, a great lunch time break.
Frick Park, Braddock Ave., Beechwood Blvd.: Visit Frick Environmental Center, the Nature Reserve, lawn bowling, playgrounds,
picnic shelters, red clay tennis courts and more.
Grandview Overlook, Grandview Ave.: View Pittsburgh's splendid skyline. Take the incline to Station Square.
Highland Park, Stanton, Bunkerhill & Highland Aves.: Crowned by the reservoir, the Pittsburgh Zoo resides here.
Our only long-course pool, bike trails, playgrounds and the new
bike track are part of the park.
Market Square, Fourth Ave. & Market St.: For music, movies, speeches, and lunchtime picnics, it feels like old Pittsburgh.
Mellon Square, Sixth & Oliver Aves.: Downtown's weekday meeting place, this sophisticated park is a great lunch spot, concerts,
fountains and a waterfall make it special.
Point State Park, Commonwealth Pl.: Walk, bike, or rollerblade through the Point past Fort Pitt Museum, the Block House, and our
super fountain.
Riverview Park, Riverview Ave.: A swimming pool, big picnic shelters, hill and forest, and the Allegheny Observatory are part
of this regional park.
Roberto Clemente Memorial Park, North Shore Drive: At the crux of Pittsburgh's pro sports future, concerts, pathways,
monuments and views are there to enjoy.
Schenley Park, Schenley Drive: Our oldest large park, Schenley holds a skating rink, golf course, Phipps Conservatory,
a swimming pool, the oval for running, fields, courts, bridle trails,
an incredible outdoor playground.
South Side Riverfront Park 18th St. & Mon. River: Its location in one of our busiest communities--along with a
public boat dock and parking for boat trailers--makes this park
a popular weekend spot.
