The mission of the LGBT Advisory Council is to serve and advise the Mayor as well as advocate for equality of all persons with regard to sexual orientation and gender identity

About:
The Mayor’s LGBT Advisory Council was formed in September 2009 under the auspices of Mayor Luke Ravenstahl to address the needs of the LGBT Community. The nine member Council meet monthly and have quarterly meetings with the Mayor.

Board Makeup:

  • 9 members
    • Appointed by Mayor, City of Pittsburgh
    • Representation must be considerate of all members of the LGBT community
    • 1 member from the City's Human Relations Commission

Residency Requirements:

  • Must be a City resident or have principal place of business in the City.

Compensation:
None.

Once a month.
