Pittsburgh Cyclists Ride to Honor Slain Officers
On Saturday, April 11, 2009, Councilman Dowd and more than 200 cyclists gathered at the Highland Park fountain for a memorial ride to honor Officers Sciullo, Mayhle, and Kelly. Councilman Dowd briefly addressed the crowd at the Zone 5 police station before the riders returned to Highland Park.
Saturday’s ride was organized by the Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club and the Western Pennsylvania Wheelmen.
