Will Cross Day
City Council recognized mountain climber and Highland Park resident Will Cross on February 6, 2008 with the designation of Will Cross Day. Will was the first person with Type 1 diabetes to reach the North and South poles on foot and the first American with Type I diabetes to climb Mt. Everest, among many other firsts and outstanding achievements. Will is pictured above with his wife Amy and Councilman Patrick Dowd.
