The
Mexican War Streets and surrounding Central Northside neighborhoods were developed primarily in the 1860's and 70's. Its streets were named after battles and soldiers of the
1846 Mexican War. The carefully restored rowhouses reflect Greek revival doorways, Gothic turrets, stained glass and Richardsonian stonework. The neighborhood is composed of a variety of people, including
long-time residents, new homeowners, and families. |
