Northview Heights is located north of Downtown, and is surrounded by Observatory Hill, Summer Hill and Spring Hill/City View.

Northview Heights' CitiParks Recreation Center has a basketball court which doubles as a volleyball court where neighbors go for fun. Children play at Northview Heights Playground.

Close by are Allegheny General Hospital, the National Aviary and East Park, and the Children's Museum.  Northview Heights doesn't have a business district of its own, but residents can make the short commute to the Central Northside, Downtown, or the Strip District for all of their everyday needs.  An active tenant council helps solidify the neighborhood.
