The
City Planning Commission is a nine member panel appointed by the
Mayor for six-year staggered terms. The Commission is charged with
guiding land use and development in the City. The Planning Commission
makes recommendations to City Council concerning the Zoning Ordinance
and zoning map, reviews major development proposals and prepares
redevelopment plans. The Commission holds biweekly public
meetings. For more information on the City Planning Commission,

2012 Meeting Information
The City Planning
Commission meetings are held every other Tuesday beginning at 2:00
p.m. on the first floor of the Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street in downtown Pittsburgh. See schedule below for specific meeting
dates. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public.
Planning Commission Meeting Archive
In addition, on each meeting date, the following committee
meetings may be held at the same location: Zoning/Plan of Lots and
the Committee of the Whole. These meetings are open to the public.
Please contact staff to see if such meetings are occurring as well
as their time and location.
