Master Development Planning in Hazelwood and Junction Hollow
During 2001, the City of Pittsburgh
engaged the community in a planning process for the former LTV Coke
Works site in Hazelwood, as well as the Hazelwood neighborhood and
Junction Hollow in Oakland/Lower Greenfield. This master planning
process was a collaborative effort between the City of Pittsburgh
Department of City Planning, Hazelwood Initiative, and Oakland Community
Council, who retained the professional services of The Saratoga
Associates to conduct the master planning. A design workshop was
held on May 5, 2001 (see summary below). The final master plan report
