The Department of City Planning sets the framework for the City's development
through policy and development review by the Planning Commission and
through administration of the zoning ordinance. The department
pursues community development by facilitating community planning processes,
supporting community-based and technical assistance organizations
and programs, and administrating the Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funds.
