Objectives
Contract with a private codification firm to reformat and supplement the Pittsburgh Code.
Make the Code available in hard copy and on electronic disk format.
Increase online service and communication within the department and citywide.
Continue legislative and staff support of the UniSource 2000 Project which will provide for the implementation of a fully integrated citywide financial and information management system.
Increase cable casting of Public Meetings and make public hearings more accessible to the general public.
Invite representatives from various government entities to participate in Council Public Hearings, Post Agenda Meetings and other public forums on issues affecting the citizens of Pittsburgh.
Coordinate efforts with the City's Cable Bureau to provide televised on-screen printed summaries of all legislation introduces to Council. This would be cable-casted on the City's government channel
immediately following the Legislative sessions in Council. Provide increased cable-casted coverage of Council meetings and hearings regarding significant citywide issues.
