The
Bureau of Building Inspection (BBI) regulates the construction, demolition,
and occupancy of all buildings and structures within the City of
Pittsburgh. We review, approve, and issue all permits required
by code for the repair, alteration, or addition to all public and
private buildings and structures, as well as permits for new construction.
Our primary mission is to provide life safety and a better quality
of living to the residents of the City of Pittsburgh.
Visit our License Information page to review a list
of licenses administered by the Bureau of Building Inspection. From there you may find out more about each license and receive instructions about how to apply for a license as needed.
