  • Report it to the police immediately.
  • In addition, be ready to provide them with the vehicle year, make, model, color, vehicle identification number (VIN) and license plate number.
  • Any modifications made to the vehicle that can be seen from the exterior of the vehicle or any identifying features.
  • Were the keys left in the vehicle?
  • Could the vehicle have been repossessed?
  • Was the vehicle parked leagally?
  • How much gas was in the vehicle?
  • Does anyone have permission to borrow your vehicle?
