When You Need A Trade Fair License:
Anyone who conducts a trade fair within the City must obtain a license from the License Officer.
How To Obtain A Trade Fair License
In Person:
Go to the City Licensing and Permits Office, 200 Ross Street. Click here to view a map.
By Mail: Download the
License Application. You will need the
Adobe Acrobat Reader© to view or print the form.
Once downloaded, print the application, fill it out completely, and mail it and all other relevant materials listed under "What To Bring With You" and "Fee" below to:

Make all checks and money orders payable to Treasurer, City of Pittsburgh.
What To Bring With You:
When applying for a Trade Fair
License in person, you must bring the following materials with you, or your application cannot be processed.
- The name of the licensee (your name), proof of identification, and any other name under which your business is to be conducted.
- The address of the business you are licensing.
- Proof that you are a city resident (usually a phone or utility bill) who deals in the trade goods, or proof that you are the owner of the premises on which the trade fair will take place.
- The names, addresses, and businesses of all persons who are to participate in the trade fair.
